Where is the Yellow Card? Referees must always be prepared, but embarrassing moments can happen. Can you imagine how this referee felt in front of thousands of fans?
Assistant Referee Loses Flag: Things happen, but he came right back and followed the play.
Dancing Referee: Although every referee has their own style, this artistic one was somewhat extreme. In addition to being entertaining, he was considered a competant referee.
Attacking The Goalie: A red card must be issued for a dangerous play. Although this applies generally, it is important that the referee insure that the goalie is protected.
Diving: Diving is when a player fakes a four in an attempt to draw a penalty. Although this is frowned upon and penalized with a yellow card if it is too flagrant, players draw a foul often enough to continue to dive.
